I am wondering if anyone other than me has a problem with excessive saliva and what you do about it?
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member and other asking about drooling.... be sure to continue to visit your dentists while you are taking meds for Parkinsons!! TRUST ME I am speaking from experience... I lost all my fillings, and have cavities in most of the teeth I have left! It did not help that I am terrified of the dentist. I looked for any excuse not to go to the dentist.
IF I smile now, I try not to open my mouth!!
We went to a seminar a couple weeks ago and the speaker mentioned Botox shots every three months, or Atropine drops under the tongue for drooling. I will ask his neurologist about those things when we see her next time.
i think you need a prescription for that dont you

My husband complains of excessive drooling at night. His neurologist prescribed an expensive med for him. He tried it but said it made his mouth too dry so he quit taking it. Can't win I guess. He went a couple months to a speech therapist and she showed him some exercises to do to strengthen the tongue and throat muscles, but he doesn't do them as often as he should so he still has issues with excessive saliva.
I have been told from several doctors that it is because with Parkinson's you don't swallow enough!
