My husband has been using Azilect for nearly 2 years. It has helped him enormously!!! He has had no side effects. His Parkinsons symptoms greatly improved when the drug was added.

My feedback on Azilect.....I’ve been on it since first diagnosed in 2009. It has worked well to control my symptoms. But this year 2019, my doctor took me off Azilect to see how I do without it. And I’ve been doing just as well without it than when I took it. But to fill in my “off” times, he put me on a new med, Inbrija which I only take as needed.

See my feedback about Inbrija at https://www.myparkinsonsteam.com/questions/5d49...

As for Azilect and side effects.....I am not aware if Azilect specifically caused any side effects for me. Though I have multiple diagnoses and issues, so it’s hard to know if my issues were caused by Azilect or not. Others mention hot flashes ..... I do have hot flashes, more so than ever! But mine are caused by taking Tamoxifen (taking for breast cancer). Hot flashes make it hard to function, but pro of Tamoxifen, it is increasing my bone density, good for my
Osteoporosis.

I have hot flashes every day especially because its summer. I am 70 so it shouldn't be menopause. Probably pd. It comes and goes several times a day. doesn't make me happy.

I am not sure but if your doctor has prescribed it my suggestion is try it. It may have side effects that are not suitable, contact your doctor immediately. Remember with any drug they may have different effects to different people.

My husband is on Rasagiline 1 x daily, he has been fine and had no side effects. It seems to have helped his shaking .
