I was diagnosed a year ago with PD. I have a colonoscopy scheduled this coming Tuesday and I'm concerned about the anesthesia.

Has anyone gone under anesthesia and did it go OK?

I had the opposite experience every time I had a anesthetic it took days for pd to go back to normal I’d have dyskinesia and internal shaking even the dentist was not good BruceKennedy I now avoid it unless absolutely necessary I tell doctor to give me minimum amount or nothing I would rather put up with a bit of discomfort than few days of dyskinesia pd is different for every one so you might have no problem I hope you do good luck with colonoscopy

I always consult my movement disorder dr. before going for surgery.
I use the "Medications That May Be Contraindicated in Parkinson’s Disease" sheet from the Hospital kit supplied by the pd foundation. Give one to every nurse and Dr.
https://www.parkinson.org/Living-with-Parkinson...

I keep the kit updated and in my car. I try to talk to the anesthesiologist before.
Before taking these precautions recovery could be 8-10 hours. last time I had kidney stones removed was in recovery for 2 hrs.

good luck
