Yes I have the same problem. I have to drive early between 8 and 1100, and then only after my mid day nap now mostly 90 minutes.(1:30 till 3:00) Then I am good for 3:00 to 5:30.

Bad days I stay home or get a ride,

Good Luck

I starting taking for restless leg, but take now to help pd. It can cause problems so I try to take low dose, but you have to increase overtime. It,s questionable!!!!!!

It is sold as Mirapex in the US if I am correct. It certainly has helped me but is not a miracle cure long term of course. I think we all pray for such a breakthrough medication soon.

I take it and have had a good experience so far. I have been on it for 2 years now. The first week there were problems with low blood pressure, but then it came right. I was initially on an the immediate acting tablets at a low dose, which was increased gradually, then changed to the extended release capsule. This was wonderful, only one a day. After about 18 months I had to increase the dosage and there was not a long acting tablet at that particular strength. Now I am on 3 x3 short acting tablets a day which is a nuisance, but works.

I have not experienced any of the severe side effects associated with it. It has helped a lot with my gait and balance especially although this is far from perfect still! 😀
I wish you well with it.
Hugs,
Terry

Robbie 2,
Yes. The least amount of meds he can take and still help his symptoms the better. I had bad hallucinations, delusions and paranoia on ropinarol. I have switched to Mirapex ER, and seem to be doing better. Amazing how it works for some and not others.. By the way, since my DBS surgery in Oct 2021, I am down to 3 cd/ld pills per day, down from 8 per day. And no longer take amantadine. That was one of the things I was hoping for - less meds. I don't know if your husband would qualify for the surgery (or if he'd even want to) due to his other health issues.
Keep on loving him. You are doing a good job.
Blessings, Karen
