Hi team….do any of you with PD also have RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome)? I’m lucky I have both! Lol. I’ve been taking Ropinirole for several years to treat the RLS. Now I was disgnosed with PD this past May.

I was also diagnosed with Essential Tremor initially, even though my other symptoms point towards Parkinson’s. I changed neurologists, but had to wait a year for an appointment and during that year I had an outburst and said things that could never be unsaid. I was terminated for that. The outburst was uncommon behavior for me and a result of a Parkinson’s mood disorder. The right diagnosis would have been helpful. I got the right diagnosis eventually.

RLS and PD are quite often found together. You probably should have been screened for Parkinson’s when they diagnosed RLS.
