Joan it could be from dyskinesia it you have it so bad that it jerks your head and shoulders. I’ve never heard of Parkinson’s it’s self doing it.
I was diagnosed with PD 8 years ago and still feel like I'm in stage 1.
My doctor has been so helpful in prescribing the right medications for me and, since the meds are so time sensitive, I always keep a log to be sure I'm on track.
I retired 5 years ago when I turned 65. I belong to a quilters group and still enjoy creating quilts for charity. I'm in a Senior Bowling League, I sing in an acapella group. Gardening is still one of my favorite hobbies.
Some days I have Off Time, but it usually goes away when the meds kick in.
I feel very blessed that I haven't experienced some of the more serious symptoms. It's very important to have a positive attitude and avoid stress.
It depends on your brain, literally! I was undiagnosed for 18 years, with many symptom's, I have been diagnosed for 13 and am now stage 4. Follow your intuition and get the answers you need. Many doctors do not necessarily believe in stages, but how your body is reacting to meds and other protocols.
Every one is different,,,but I believe it depends on how you take care of yourself exercise, eat well, medications on time, never Give Up. I am somewhere between 4 & 5. 91y/o.
Hubby has the same. He has had so many MRI's, xrays, ultrasounds..... Noting is ever found. He has tried PT, pain meds, pain injections.....nothing helps. I can pin point the spot perfectly just by hugging him. But Doctors now think its from the Dyskinesia. He was diagnosed 11 years ago.
