I volunteered to participate in a smell test study sponsored by the MJFF at IU. Yesterday I received four booklets of "scratch and sniff" 10 each odors as part of that study. As I'm new to PD does everyone with PD lose their sense of smell? I haven't. Thanks.

Interesting question. My sense of smell is very poor and has been for quite a while
My sister lost her sense of smell and taste approximately 10 years ago or more but was diagnosed with PD about four years ago. She also said most food tastes like cardboard, but she is aware of sweet and salt. I’m just the caregiver and determining food for her is a little tricky. Your right , all of this is different for everyone.
My sense of taste and smell are very poor now
I was diagnosed in July, but had been unwell for at least three years. I haven't lost my sense of smell at all.
