I’m trying to figure out if mine are a PD issue or a separate issue.

Bowel issues are pretty common in PD. For me it’s constipation. I use Mirlalax daily and it helps!!

Constipation is common in Parkinson's. I'm having issues with that. Magnesium citrate and vitamin c help sometimes. Psyllium husks with apple pectin., Miralax (gave me gas and bloating but worked. Make sure you are drinking lots of water. Dehydration causes constipation.

Thank you for your response. I seem to go from constipation to almost diarrhea I do high fiber diet 27+ a day. Take metamuscil and or Benefiber … miralax is hard for me to tolerate so do prunes….end up with frequent bowel movements and seemingly constant ‘leakage’. Hard for me to comfortably leave home. Will be discussing with my NP this week.

So sorry Judith. I do once a day a *half lemon*2 tbsp extra Virgin olive oil*2 tbsp honey. Add water or seltzer water, whatever sounds good to you. The olive oil is the important ingredient to “keep things moving”. I wish you positive results and will be praying for you🙏
