Kirkwood, NY

Was out at a arts and crafts show with couple friends when my PD symptom came on for no apparent reason, my balance all screwed up had no control over it, my arm starts shacking with little control could stop it momentarily. No rhyme no reason Symptoms just comes and goes sometimes its a dead giveaway that I have parkinson's other times you would never know, was up on meds wasn't even due for my next dose strange the way it acts.

I notice symptoms to, with a crowd of people being loud and rowdy then it's like I'm in a black cloud my hands shake can't concentrate like my mind just blacks out almost.

It's possible that stress or anxiety is at blame. I used to feel very overwhelmed in crowded areas even before I was diagnosed.

My symptoms really fire off when I am in a crowded environment where there is a lot of background noise while trying to have conversations. I always have the fear of a symptom recurrence in a public environment or around friends and family. I attribute it to my hearing problems. I wear hearing aids and they work well. However, not in every environment. This happened to me yesterday while at a restaurant with my wife. This restaurant is a sports bar with about 20 TV monitors on all the football games. It became a sensory overload for me and my symptoms became obvious to any observer.

Stress can make symptoms worse as well. A busy day might raise your stress levels more than you think.

Pill and food timing might affect how well your meds work (i.e. sometimes my husband forgets to take his pills and ends up taking them with lunch or dinner instead of before or after.)
