Nausea has been kicking my butt lately. What do you take for it and if it is a prescription, how much is it? I need help for this.

Well, I will start this again. Had to get the battery hooked up and apparently, it took away my message.
The only thing I can comment on about nausea is the two weeks I had it so bad, I did not eat. I had just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and given the LevaDopa stuff they give most of us. I only drank water and GingerAle. My doctor at that time had me stop it, after two weeks, as I only weighed 98 and dropped down to 93. I have always been small, but when younger, the most I weighed was 115. Over the years I got down to 100. Now, at almost 86, I can’t seem to gain back what I lost. My new doctor did try another drug a few months ago, but I did not like how it made me feel. I have always had sensitivity to most drugs, except the one I take for my high blood pressure. It, however, doesn’t do the job any more. There have been some people on here that told me how to eat and take the Leva/dopa that should help the nausea. But, I did not try it. The doctor thought it best I try and gain some weight back and stay away from anything. So, I was diagnosed 2020, and still do not take any drugs for Parkinson’s.
Perhaps other on here have seen your comment and will pass any info they know of on to you. Do you think it is that drug causing it, or something else? What does your doctor say. There are drugs for nausea. I had one years ago that a doctor gave me. Did not help enough for me, but ask your ☹️Parkinson doctor for a prescription. I think you can buy it over the counter also, so maybe you can try that. If that is not the drug causing it, it could be whatever other Parkinson drug you are on. Wish I had better answers for you. I hope whatever else you try works. If so, let us all know. Blessings for you. Beth

I found that taking ginger powder capsules or concentrated ginger syrup with tea or peppermint tea has a wide range of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and has been known to reduce nausea. Make sure you stay hydrated. It has also been reported taking too much pd medication may cause nausea.
