The nausea could be coming from taking two carbidopa-levodopa pills at once, especially on an empty stomach. Parkinson’s can also slow down the stomach, so the nausea may not hit until an hour or two later. A few plain crackers, a little toast, and some water may help, but a heavy meal or too much protein can interfere with the medicine. Information about this can be found through the Parkinson’s Foundation, the American Parkinson Disease Association, Parkinson’s Facebook support groups, and general research. This is just an opinion. Make sure you talk with your doctor before you do anything. They know best.

Maybe eat something small prior to taking the medication. I know a lot of people that experience the nausea and a small snack with 4-8 ounces of water helps a lot of the time. I have some friends from other groups that split the dose 1 pill then, 1 hour later the other Always check with your doctor first, this is not a medical opinion.
