i have Parkinson’s Disease & Dementia. i know i am failing daily tasks due to dementia.
I read in the Michael J Fox Parkinson’s Buddy Network that many People with PD have found lion's mane mushroom helpful in preventing or reversing dementia. I myself like ginkgo biloba - see my profile story https://www.myparkinsonsteam.com/users/58b7db5e...
thank you
The people on the https://parkinsonsbuddynetwork.michaeljfox.org/... have had good results with the lion's mane. I have used the ginkgo biloba & saw results immediately, although they last after 8 weeks of taking 60 mg 3x/day. It does not need to be taken regularly after that. Others are terribly disappointed that it made no difference for them. Perhaps it is different for different causes of PD (mine was caused by an insecticide), or perhaps it depends on how far the dementia has progressed, if it has passed the point of no reversal or not, like emphysema. I can conjecture, but all I know is my own experience, which has been fantastic, & an old, outdated study that is no longer considered respectful, that I found in my herb book in the '80's. (see My Story on my Profile page)
Mountain Woman, is the lions Mane helping? Is the ginkgo biloba helping? I started taking lions Mane but do not see a difference.
i will investigate these. thank you
