Hi, it is really very easy and there should be no danger to you. They set some limits to the programming we can do at home. Please verify with your Neurologist first but I don't see any risk involved in it,

Roxie80, maybe you can have someone set it for you. A family member? Bean

I also have a medtronics device. Two doctors were working together programing it last week. My model has only been around a couple of years. Yes it has a booklet of instructions but my dyskinesia is so bad it is hard for me to hit the right spots even on my laptop. I hit the wrong keys and can't find my way out so it makes me very nervous thinking of setting my DBS.

Hi Roxie 80, What kind of a dbs devise do you have? I have a medtronics. It is pretty simple. It should have come with a small booklet with instructions. What questions do you have? Bean
