I used to work in senior housing & I found that people who embraced assisted living as the next phase of their life fared better. Assisted living allows you to be as independent as possible while allowing others to provide the care you need. You will find new friends and a social life that you may have been isolated from in your home. Look at it as a new journey . The fact that it’s available & that you can afford it are all positive points. Many seniors have no choice but to live in a Medicaid nursing home. Which isn’t ideal.
