I was told that Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's have very similar symptoms. The only way to tell is after the fact with an autopsy...
The difference is LBD has LBD symptoms first, then Parkinson's. So it really matters which symptoms you had first that determines what you have... At least that is what I was told by a Neurologist.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Dear Lisa, my brother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, (as I am), it was not until his autopsy that we were informed he died of Lewy Body syndrome.
