Just wonder if anybody else has noticed this or has a clue as to why this is the case?? If he experiences low blood pressure it’s almost always early in the day. He’s lethargic and sleeps almost every morning. Even if he’s had a good nights sleep. Naps after lunch most days. Perks up around 4 until bedtime. Would love for him to feel this good all day!!!

I have totally the reverse problem however I found this note on the internet

medicalnewstoday.com/articles/what-time-of-day-are-parkinsons-symptoms-worse

Morning bradykinesia and akinesia

Morning bradykinesia and akinesia occur when a person’s motor or non-motor symptoms worsen before the first dose of levodopa in the morning.

Around 60%Trusted Source of people with Parkinson’s disease experience morning bradykinesia. People with a long history of motor issues or at advanced stages of Parkinson’s have the highest risk of morning akinesia.

A person may be able to manage morning bradykinesia and akinesia by:

taking extended-release levodopa
tweaking the timing and dose of levodopa
eating smaller meals with lower fat and lower protein

I hope this is of help.

My neurologist advised me that Levodopa has only a 4 hour benefit and currently she has advised every 5 hours. That if my low period, 4th to 5th hour before next dosage gets worse she will keep me at same dosage but every four hours. I have set my phone reminder for every 5 hours and noticed more that dosage does diminish after four and worse if I forget and go 6 hours.

I have always felt this way. I have to do the first dozen things exactly the same every single day to keep moving. I go at a normal pace from about noon to early eve, then I get sleepy. When that is over I keep gaining energy. It is 11 pm and I am just now checking My Parkinson's team and commenting. Just finished cleaning the kitchen and some other chores. I guess it just takes that long to wake up my brain. Sorry I have no solution. It is a way of life for me. I am not tired so I do not consider it insomnia if I am still awake at 3 am. There is some good TV after midnight. Old reruns are my favorites. I go to sleep when my body is ready. I do not schedule anything till afternoon obviously. Thank God for retirement.

My initial morning Sinemet makes me terribly tired too, even after 9 hours of sleep. Granted I'm on a very low dose as I was recently diagnosed and doctor is just starting to introduce me to the medication. I can clearly notice the difference during the hours on no meds. Seeing him soon and hoping he can increase me.

My mornings after taking meds are so bad, unable to function at best. Mid-day and after are ok, able to come back to life. Did I say mornings suck?
