I think I've lost my short term memory, but I can't remember for sure.

Lucky, I found the info below on the Johns Hopkins website. I found a 2nd article on the Cleveland Clinic website that stated very similar info.
What are the complications of Parkinson disease?
Parkinson disease causes physical symptoms at first. Problems with cognitive function, including forgetfulness and trouble with concentration, may arise later. As the disease gets worse with time, many people develop dementia. This can cause profound memory loss and makes it hard to maintain relationships.
As with other PD discussions, the symptoms and timing and progression of this disease are very variable and unpredictable. It has taken me yrs but I finally decided to stop worrying about things out of my control and focus on being the best me I can be and find joy in every day I am given. Worry is not going to bring answers. The researchers may find answers at some time in the future but for now, no cure, no warning, no plan, only personal peace for me while I hope for ground breaking answers coming out of the research.
You are not alone on this journey,
Maria

After I was first diagnosed, my neurologist handed me a package of information to read. I began reading it and before I got too far, I stopped reading because of the main point that was coming through: THERE IS NO HOPE FOR A CURE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. From that day on I focused on LIVING! I refuse to let PD control my life. I am much more positive about life and I have so much going for me.
DO NOT LET PD PUT A DAMPER ON MAKING THE MOST OF EACH MOMENT.

Rather than dwelling on what might or is happening, my focus is on living. Making the most of every moment that I have.
