I have had a stroke and have PD.
With the stroke I lost ability to write or read for a year and loss of right side control.
It did create problems with my diagnosis of PD as many of the onset signs I thought were residual Stroke Problems. When I went for my BIG physical therapy they were able to diagnose my problems as 70% PD and 30% residual stroke.

My neurologist handling my stroke retired and the new neurologist had experience with Parkinson patients. He sent me to a movement physician who agreed and sent me to a Hospital for diagnosis which confirmed it.

It is definitely confusing, my stroke was 2008 and PD diagnosis 2021.

I have no answer to this question. I will pray for you.
