Is it expensive? My doctor tried to give me a higher dose but it made me too ill. I was throwing up all day. Now îf my insurance would only approve ît! I can't imagine why they are balking unless it is over the cost. I believe it is a newer drug.
I have no idea why they would be charging more than most of the Carbidopa/Levodopa combination drugs. It’s not that new ( approved in 2015 ), it has a huge list of contraindications, and just as long a list of side effects. From what I’ve been able to gather about it, be very careful and follow the schedule for taking it, for weaning off it, if you should ever need to, and for being checked for the problems that can be found when taking it. If it works for you, that’s great! Just learn as much as you can about it ( which I would recommend no matter what you’re taking). Sometimes the same meds just need to be introduced to your body in a different way to work.
I use it and so far have had good luck with Rytary.
No but I'll try anything twice and good to hear from you ain't touched bases in a while happy holidays Merry Christmas Happy Thanksgiving Happy New Year
I take two sinemet 25/100's five times a day and two Sinemet CR 50/200's before bed.
This combination keeps most of my symptoms well controlled with minimal on/off cycles issue's. Stress is an unknown that can throw a monkey wrench in my schedule, otherwise I'm good with the current medication levels.
