I was thinking the intense back pain I've had is from PD, or certainly made much horse by the added PD diagnosis.
I have meds for muscle spasms. And I also yell when one hits.
I've gone to a pain clinic for years. I've had steroid shots. But what really worked is cauterization of nerve ends. I'm going on 2 years of little pain once in a while. I've had tons of PT. Some of them have been really knowledgeable. They stressed a hard core. I pray that others will find relief.
I have horrible back pain since PD diagnosis????
I have severe back pain. I was being treated by a pain clinic. They don’t use drugs but rather after 2 trials with small amounts of steroid if the patient has 4 or more hours of relief a full treatment is done using cauterizing the nerves involved. Most people need no sedation but of I panic so… the relief is usually 12-18 months of total relief. Unfortunately I had a crisis involving respiratory failure. They needed to have good respiratory system so I never went through the procedure. I did have 8 hours of relief, then 12hours. If your doctor can find such a clinic it seems to be a possible solution. I don’t know how widely used this type of treatment is, but I’m convinced it is a valuable treatment.
Why would you yell, Reva? My muscles in my back got much worse in an area already bad. My feet, particularly my toes would spasm so badly that they were dislocated.
