Members dealing with painful calf cramps and Charlie horses shared a wide range of strategies that have helped them find relief. Several members recommended staying well hydrated with at least 64 ounces of water daily, taking magnesium and potassium supplements, and wearing compression socks, while others found relief through CBD salve, biofreeze, or products like Hylands Leg Cramps. A recurring theme was the value of asking a doctor about muscle relaxers or medications like clonazepam, combined with gentle movement like pedaling exercises to keep muscles from tightening up.

Try rubbing CBD salve on your legs then put some bio freeze on it! It's the only way I can get to sleep!

Nigel gives you very good advice. It is also quite comprehensive. I would add one thing. “Hylands Leg Cramps”. They sell it at Walmart. It’s in little red bottle. It work like a charm for me and it’s cheap.

I would also like to reinforce hydration. If I don’t get at least 64 ounces of water a day I get cramps.
