how do i pull my pants up and down too?
If you are having trouble pulling your pants up and down you could consider night gowns instead of pajamas, and casual lounging house dresses. They just slip over your head. No pulling them up and down. You can order them in the little catalogs like Dr. Leonards and others for us that are older. If you feel chilly you can use a robe. Just a couple of ideas for you.
You can call Medicare, or the Council on Aging and tell them you need a case worker. I would try Medicare first. My Speech Therapist called and got one for me. She can provide you with the different agencies that provide services you need. You can call her when there is a problem and you need help, and she will search out what is available. Having a Case Worker could help you with finding help for the different things you can’t manage and will lessen your fear. Love ❤️
Deadinbed, I don't know anything about your personal circumstances so this is a tough question to answer. I assume you live alone- does anyone buy your groceries, help prepare meals, take you to appointments? Do you have social security, Medicare or Medicaid? I ask this because there are agencies who help those over 65 and those with disabilities but someone has to work with various agencies to get that help. You may need to reach out to a family member, friend or neighbor and there are legal means to establish permission to handle medical, financial and social issues but you need to identify that person and then provide legal permission to handle your life issues. In most states, there are agencies for the elderly who can help you with this but someone has to be available to make the contacts. I understand your worry but if you don't have a caregiver, you will have to initiate these actions at access additional help you may need.
God bless you and keep you safe,
Maria
Go to churches to see if they will help you. People have go fund me ads. The county that you live can have home health and can help with groceries. There can be clubs and agencies that can help. If you are on Medicare they can help. Charities in the community can help. Ask your physician to refer you. Social Security can offer referrals. Touch base with family and old friends. Hang in there !
All good advice. You definitely need an advocate. 🙂
