The study indicated that bradykinesia and tremor improved with Gabapentin compared to those taking a placebo, and scores with the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale improved. Does anyone have any experience with this? Are there any drug interactions to be concerned with, such as with Carbidopa/Levodopa?
There are nights when my legs will not stop jumping or are tingling and burning and on those nights i will take Gabapentin 300mg (initially prescribed to help me sleep - not effective) and it is helpful.
I take gabapentin for restless legs. helps me sleep.
My husband takes it for nerve pain. It doesn't seem to affect his bradykinesia. The doctor recently increased the dosage of his c/l to address that. I'm not sure whether it's helping or not.
I have several friends ad relatives who have taken Gabapentin. So far no one has had a positive outcome.
Susan, thank you for the response!
