Members came together with warmth and encouragement for someone with Parkinson's disease who expressed feeling like damaged goods, with the community firmly rejecting that idea and affirming each person's worth and value. Several members shared their own hard days, including falls, exhaustion, depression, and leg pain, offering practical tips like using a cane, riding a stationary bike, applying heat or lidocaine patches, and staying active to manage symptoms. A recurring theme was that while Parkinson's is relentless, the community's love, humor, and faith help members keep fighting one day at a time.

There is a stigma attached to any disability . I’m glad that I have a good sense of humor and can laugh at myself. I was dx with PD 8 yrs ago
and about a year ago I felt this overwhelming sense of stupidity engulf me. Yep….. I finally realized that I’m
Disabled. No big deal. Kinda like walking out of a public restroom with tp hanging off of the back of your pants. Surely there was a point to this!!!

Tina...trust me, you are far from damaged goods...if you were, I don't think I would want to spend a lot of our time together... your membership in the "gang" doesn't need to be formally transferred to this new way to communicate...
remember that we fight the good fight and never ever give up...I don't see you as one who gives up...hang in there...talk to you later...John...🤠
