Don’t know if there’s any scientific data regarding the connection between PD and the replacement surgery. But I do know my Párkinson showed up with a year after having
a replacement surgery.
I now have Dystonia in the leg of my knee Replacement. Often wonder if my knee is hurting because of the dystopian prior to surgery.
I personally think there’s a big correlation!

It seems to take longer to heal and because you're unable to exercise pd gets a little worse but it will heal and you get back to an exercise program i broke my left ankle a year ago

I had both knees replaced before I had symptoms. I would be suspicious of a correlation with knee replacement and Parkinsonism developing as you get older

Merry2 - your story is my story. I wished I had never had the surgery. I have spent the last year trying to figure out why I kept having so much pain. I too developed dystonia in the leg where I had the surgery; thankfully gabapentin has helped. I wish you luck and better times, and I will say a prayer for you.
