I have always exercised vigorously. So now that I have vascular parkinsonism , what good is it to do more and more to no avail? I have worked hard, exercised hard, with little benefit. My feet are numb, and the skin on my feet has sores; a lot! It has to do with circulation;; what can be done about it. I get no relief

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member a Vegas nerve stimulator? Is that when you draw two queens in blackjack? 😁♥️
Very well said!!! I agree.
Being hounded to do anything is negative and diminishing. Although I do work with an OT and a PT that is my choice. At the age of 82 my family feels I should be able to do whatever I want, eat what I want and I agree. I want to enjoy what time I have remaining not live longer than I was intended to and be a miserable head on a pillow or in. a home. I love life and want to continue to do so and then move on with grace.

It is very hard to find exercises that are not too hard, not dangerous and will help. Full disclosure: I am caregiver. Though every PT session helped a little, the only one that really helped my husband was the expert who DID THE SPECIAL MASSAGE -- I think it is called myofascial release but I am not sure. Anyway, it DOES help, but it does NOT make symptoms and stiffness disappear, but it slows down the progression and can give you a boost. Unfortunately, I have now inherited my husband's distaste for exercise and my once active self is now floundering. But that's on ME not HIM and starting June 1, I am leaving him with an aide so I can start swimming.
Oh hell yes...I lived idle, and I'll bloody die idle. What's the point of living longer if the extra days are full of doing things you hate?
