I saw a PT for my Vertigo. He did the eppley(sp) maneuver over a few sessions with me and I learned to do it at home. It keeps the vertigo in check.

AnneKristine,
I can totally agree with you. When in the shower, to rinse my hair, I have to grab the safety bars so that I do not fall when cloclosing eyes? scary

That is a common problem with Parkinson’s it’s always there. Especially if you have a bad day. It’s just there.

I had the same kind of vertigo that Dale had: Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. The room was spinning like a top. I told a PT I was seeing about my dizziness and he did the Epley maneuver, and the vertigo went away.

I had one episode of vertigo; yes, I felt like I was in a.clothes dryer. I told a friend who does not have PD; She recommended Dramamine. She keeps it with her all the time.
So far, it never happened again. But I have Dramamine around in case.
