The medications can cause that. It can help to take your pills with food that is not protein, like fruit, crackers, bread, etc.

Ask your doctor to adjust your meds. I was extremely nauseous, throwing up taking Carbidopa-levodopa. My neurologist prescribed an additional stand alone dose of carbidopa and it helped control it.

Yes, nausea and digestive issues are common symptoms in Parkinson's disease. Up to 80% of people with Parkinson's experience gastrointestinal symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, bloating, and changes in bowel movements. These symptoms can appear years before a Parkinson's diagnosis. These digestive problems occur because Parkinson's affects the autonomic nervous system, which controls the muscles in your digestive tract. You may also experience gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying), which can make you feel full quickly and contribute to nausea. Sometimes these symptoms can be related to Parkinson's medications as well. If you're experiencing significant digestive issues, it's important to discuss them with your healthcare provider. They can help determine if the symptoms are related to your Parkinson's or medications and recommend appropriate treatment options.
