Obviously I've spent too much time in bed. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with this daily neuropathy flare-up in my left leg and lying down was not the right answer!
Susan Amazon sells a cushion that fits most recliners and chairs called I believe a RoJo that my PT gave me that consists of small pouches of air and can be adjusted for comfort. It comes with an ordinary bicycle tire pump if it starts to go flat or needs readjustment. I still use mine although the pressure sores have healed I am allergic to the bandage type wound management used. They weren’t open wounds but dry red patches . We treated them with
Makuna Honey salve available in most pharmacies. I was having a coccyx injection and they wanted the surrounding area to be clear. I still use the cushion and the salve as a preventative as I am either sitting in a wheelchair, a chair or in bed. Have you had any luck finding a suitable mattress?

Michael, I had fissure surgery once and was shocked when the doctor told me he used Botox to fix it. We had a good laugh over that! At that time, I only knew of cosmetic purposes for botox. We won't go there:-) I've also had hemorrhoids since I had my second child, I tease her and say that she wrecked me. :-) Seriously though, what an awful lot of ailments for you to deal with along with ever-changing Parkinson's. And it is ever-changing, that's for sure! These days, I'm having a little trouble keeping up with all the adjustments I have to make with my routines. I pray for all of you on this message board and hope that you feel God's love and mercy even though sometimes God can be very confusing!
Thank you everyone for your great suggestions. I will definitely check them out. For now my bed is better. I put a new topper on it and I finally found a really soft pillow that I can use to put between my legs when I sleep on my side or to put under my legs when I sleep on my back and that's a big blessing to have that. The new topper added more support which is what I really needed.
