Several members described swinging between extremes, feeling freezing cold one moment and drenched in sweat the next, with many sharing practical tips like carrying both ice packs and heat packs, keeping blankets in the car, and simplifying clothing choices to save energy. A recurring theme was the exhausting ripple effect of temperature issues on daily tasks like getting dressed, and members found comfort and even laughter in knowing they were not alone in this experience.

I only "freeze" when a policeman tells me to. I hope a little attempted humor is welcome from time to time.

Janet I agree and try to make it a little less exhausting by showering the night before if I have a appointment the next day. I certainly don’t get that dirty sleeping and don’t get night sweats. I also have purchased a lot of simple yet attractive to put on clothes but it is still exhausting and I have to leave myself plenty of time to get ready so I am not worn out before I even start! I do have help but it’s still a chore.

Lucindabedwell I know exactly what you mean. Getting dressed is exhausting. If I shower before it makes it even worse. Then I need to rest after each thing I put on.

Being prepared for any possible fluctuations must make it a bit more tolerable. So wise to plan ahead! I always have a lap quilt in my car and a sweater for the inevitable freezing Drs offices. I rarely am too warm but am always freezing.
