Hello Elizabeth, is good idea to find counseling, also try to find a support group, share our daily life with spouses, life partners, caregivers for loved ones, is helped me to tolerate the mental and emotional area of Parkinson's, because made me realize that lot of people is going thru the same ugly moments, share our experiences, what I am doing to calm her down, to listen at other members their experiences, even share our moments of madness and just wanted to explode our anger by censored words, or cry out loud because frustrations, also to share our happy moments, because we do live happy moments daily, we just lived our 46th anniversary on the 14th, we sang a beautiful song "I'll never find another you" Spanish version and I did share this moments with our support group at Dallas Area Parkinson Society, and to celebrate Christmas with our adult children and family we're planning a Tamale making family get together to eat tamales, happy humble moments at our daily life, and share this with our support group has helped me to know that asking for help is to keeps us strong to face this moments, about Nuplazid, my wife has been taking over a year, the mental and emotional area are present every day, I really do not know how would be without this medication, sadly is not a cure and will be progressing, there is no cure yet for all this, try yourself to research, read and ask questions, look at Parkinson's Foundation, Michael J. Fox, David Phinney, there are several of them, they may help you somehow, even to find a way to ask a question about the moments you lived or saw at your loved one, remember that it takes brave people to deal with Parkinson's (nasty, ugly, hated Kidnapper I called it), also look forward to care for your self.
I don't know if Nuplazid would help with this kind of delusion. Talk to his doctor.
Reassure him. Every time, your love for him, your Both going through a lot. He probably feels very vulnerable right now. I know I did and still do with relationships
It’s so true and hard if your loved one feels betrayed, they are so vulnerable that’s why they think you go out of the house for someone, just assure him and do everything to show him love it’s not easy so sorry
I so appreciate your reply and hugs. I will never divorce my husband. He does not have any friends. I agree we need to find the right counseling.
