🙏praying you find something that helps!!! we all have it to some extent, you're not alone ... quick fixes you could research could be magnesium and B vitamins and maybe just for fun, chocolate .... might have to go prescription, I had to give in to that!!! Hopefully this helps and others have good ideas, please be easy on yourself, this is a depressing situation but we all can find blessing if we are accepting and patient with ourselves!! Sending hugs, prayers and blessings your way 🤗🙏🙌

I don't think it's right to call it depression. That for me means an inexplicable low mood...whereas in this case I can explain it perfectly well; I have Parkinson's, which means not only am I going to die early, but I'm going to suffer a substantial drop in usefulness day by day.

That means there'll be tasks I start but cannot finish, and realise that I'll never be able to do them again. That I'll need more and more care simply maintain my dignity. And that the end when it comes will not be the merciful swift end of a heart attack or similar.

You know what? On balance I think I'm allowed the odd tear when I think of how much I've lost already, and how much I've still to lose.

It's NOT depression. It's sadness, mixed with a very real fear that NONE of the doctors can tell me is unfounded. There's no pill they can give you that fixes that.

However, I have found one thing that helps.

Get ANGRY.

We didn't ask for this, and none of us deserves it. I swear a lot. I hit things. I take angry walks.

And it DOES make me feel better.

Walk outdoors, focus on nature.
That helps me. Take time, be kind to yourself.🌻

I have never tried getting angry, but it makes sense. Depression is "anger turned inward" so why not turn it "outward"? Let it out. I am going to try that! Thanks Nigel2
