I have notified that when I have pushed myself to keep moving possibly a bit to much that my body exhibits symptoms of a common cold. Symptoms such as stuffy nose, general malaise, sore throat and zip zero energy. Plug me in for 12 plus hours of sleep with added rest I then can feel myself gradually restoring and more able to function. The cold like symptoms diminish and or go away. I proceed with caution. Does anyone else experience?

Marylan2 I get the same thing: drippy nose, fatigue, and my tremors become uncontrollable and in general just miserable and I just go off and read the bible or get on the computer or anything to occupy myself so I don't become crabby to others around me! Until it passes

I have been fighting a sinus infection on and off for most of the winter. I try to wear a sweater to keep warm. And yes I take a nap most days. My husband naps too. He sleeps more than anyone I know. He has done this all of our married life. His old Army buddies asked me if he sleeps a lot. Evidently his naps are legendary.

This used to occur everyday for me when a fellow parky mentioned NAPS are needed. He compared our bodies to computers. If you run a computer too long it overheats and needs to cool down. When we let our biggest problem STRESS start to give us burnout midday we need to shut down and nap.

I try to limit the nap from 1-2 hours. Usually this works best for me from 200 to 3:30. Parkinson's is erratic sometimes nap is from 11:00 to 12:30 others 4:00 to 5:30 before dinner.

Relax and enjoy but exercise some LSVT BIG programs everyday. I do this mornings 30 minutes before breakfast.

I have done this 3 years and it is better than any medicine I have found.

I get cold and hot one day I may want a blanket across my legs I always wear shorts and t shirts. In summer and winter unless I go out somewhere I don't want to embarrass my wife no more than I do
