DBS like any surgery has risks associated with the surgery. This is in adition to the risks of it not working or whatever. Study it very carefully.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, Please study diligently before trying DBS, as it can cause psychosis for some. On the other hand, I understand that it seemed to almost be a cure for Parkinson's for others. I will pray that God would guide you.
I had DBS and ever since I have had a lot of dyskinesia. It did help with tremors. I have been off carbidopa levodopa for about a year and a half. So I would say "results may vary".
