An Extended Release C/L at a higher dose at bedtime has helped quiet my tremors and let me sleep.

Evening tremor flare-ups are something many people with Parkinson's can relate to, and you're definitely not alone in this.

One key reason tremors can worsen in the evenings is that Parkinson's medications (like [[treatment:levodopa/carbidopa:55d534f51fcaa397470006dd]]) may wear off between doses. As dopamine levels dip, tremors and other movement symptoms can become more noticeable.

Other factors that can make evening tremors worse include:

- Fatigue — the body and nervous system are tired after a full day
- Stress or anxiety — both are known to amplify tremors
- Medication timing — if your last dose is too early, symptoms can resurface before bedtime A MyParkinsonsTeam member shared that adjusting the timing of their evening medication dose made a big difference — taking it around 6 p.m. helped them stay comfortable until late at night.

It's worth having a conversation with your neurologist about your medication schedule. They may be able to adjust your dosing timing to better cover those evening and nighttime hours, which could help settle the tremors and improve your sleep.

Hi Dawn, thank you for the reply, it's appreciated! No, I eat around 5 every night and take my pills 1hr before or 2 hrs after if eating animal protein. The pills (carbidopa/Levo/Entacap)seem to have no affect on stopping my tremors at night. Im fine for most of the day until evenings. Not sure what's causing them to get so bad at night only, thank you!

Just a thought, do you eat mostly in the evening? The timing with protein rich meals and last dose meds can be a struggle to master!! If this resonates, it's something to analyze!! I hope you find relief 🙏
