Maybe I am expecting too much. The Dr did give a very thorough intake and exam but like I said, his diagnosis was all ready confirmed.
We both feel like we are on a cusp of a huge wave, not knowing if we will be swept under or able to stay on top.
I know this disease is different for everyone but...
So frustrating. Our current Dr is also a replacement. Very young but has all the creditials. Hopefully he's not just "book smart".
My spouse goes to a center of excellence in Tampa & they are def underperforming. Dr there moved to U Penn & they just carelessy cancelled our appt & then told us we would have to start out as a new patient & wait months bc they are understaffed. They were understaffed before he left. He is not willing to think outside the box about diff carbi/leva meds, trying the new one that is time released. New dr is about the same. He does not get referrals to specialists. There is no whole team looking at him. I am not impressed but the alternative in SWFl is a regular neuro dr & they will know even less. They should not just give them this designation & then not check in. I see a neuro dr in the same group but for migraines. Not impresed except they get the newest drug access & are more well versed but they can not keep their rsidents that I like better than the dr. Dr is just overwhelmed but very smart.
