Members with Parkinson's connected over the struggle of temperature sensitivity, with many sharing that they feel constantly cold even when indoor temperatures are set in the mid-70s, while others described overheating easily in warm weather. Several members shared practical strategies like using electric blankets, heating pads, space heaters, and layering fleece jackets indoors to stay comfortable alongside family members with different comfort needs. A recurring theme was that Parkinson's disrupts the body's ability to regulate temperature due to changes in dopamine, and many found comfort in knowing they were not alone in this experience.

My vent in the living room is right over my chair . I have been turning the temperature up to 75to be comfortable. I have the control for it on my cell phone. I do turn it down if it gets stuffy. I do turn it down to 72 at night.

Your body's ability to regulate temperature is changing. I don't think any medication will fix that. Some people feel colder, some hotter, some both.

Every day I am cold or hot- I so get it. Air condition is on & I wrap up in an electric blanket, heating pad & portable room heater cuz my husband is too hot. Fun times lol

70 to 80 is my comfort zone!! Any hotter and sweat is running like Niagara falls any colder and I'm shaking like an out of balance washing machine!
