I advise that you go to the bathroom when you need to and not wait. It’s definitely an inconvenience at night time but necessary. There are medications for overactive bladder. Mine stopped working 😢
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, There is a direct connection between the GI and the brain. The vagus nerve ,pronounced like the city, Vegas, Nevada. The vagus nerve is the largest nerve in the body and is very significant concerning Parkinson's. Breathing exercises help by inhaling slowly, holding your breath, exhaling slowly and holding it again before inhaling slowly again. I have heard different numbers to count in each of those steps; I count to 7 for each of the four steps, but I think it is most important to have a square pattern, so whatever number you pick, use to count as you inhale hold, exhale, and again hold. I Follow that square pattern for as long as I can. It's a good way to calm everything down as you're trying to get to sleep.
Linda ,
Dehydration is a big problem with this disease , especially this summer , that everybody's been having . Which I guess could lead to UTI , dehydration and not being able to pull to the bathroom . I have struggled with this for years because of how hot summers are here in Missouri , that's one of the reasons I'm moving back to Michigan . And the best reason is my new baby granddaughter .... 🤍
Not sure.......that could be considered promoting the device. Just look on Google and you'll see many!!! Sorry!!! I don't usually abide by the rules but don't wanna get kicked off either,
There is a device that helps strengthen the muscles that contol our breaths that you can buy without a doctor's script. It Works but this website won't allow me to share the name.
Good Luck!!
