A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband found me unresponsive & laying on floor. I was taken by ambulance to an ICU & intubated for 2 days I have no memory of what happened. I was then taken to a regular hospital room & just got home. My BP wouldn’t lower. Happen to anyone else?
Thanks for any response

Community members rallied around someone who was hospitalized after being found unresponsive with uncontrolled blood pressure, offering warm support and empathy for such a frightening experience. Several members shared their own stories of unexplained falls, low blood pressure episodes, and the frustration of running every test with no clear answers, noting it can feel like a painful part of living with Parkinson's. A recurring theme was encouragement to keep fighting, with one member suggesting a home blood pressure monitor and another mentioning that a medication interaction was discovered during a similar hospitalization, which may be worth discussing with a doctor.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, Forgive me if I've asked you this before. I don't remember. Are you taking an anti-cholesterol medication? Mine was interacting with my Rytary causing seizures. It was also discovered when I was last hospitalized, that I didn't need my medicine to reduce my blood pressure. I don't know if that helps or not, but it might be worth consideration.

I am really sorry that you had to go through this. I have not had a similar experience at all. I have fallen, but never became unconscious or had to go to go to the hospital. I do have fluctuations with my blood pressure, but I monitor my blood pressure and it is relatively stable most of the time. I am glad that you're home and that is the most important thing. God bless.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. No my hub has not experienced this at all. It sounds pretty scary to me. Do you have a blood pressure monitor. You might want to consider getting one to monitor your BP. Maybe others on here have experienced this and can give you some help with this. Anyways, glad you are back home and hope you are doing well. Take care, God Bless Colleen❤️🤗🙏😊

Wow!!! That’s super scary. The real scary part is that doctors have no idea why. Feel better sweetie. Glad you are ok now.
