Members shared helpful information about the Vyalev pump for Parkinson's, clarifying that it is designed to fit all body types and that dosages are set and adjusted by a neurologist or Vyalev nurse for each individual patient. One member shared a personal experience using the pump for about four months before returning to tablet form, while still encouraging others to try it if offered, noting the medication is a liquid form of Carbidopa/Levodopa. A recurring theme was community support and encouragement, including advice to advocate for needed healthcare, as seen when members rallied around someone navigating cardiac testing.

Hi Dijon
Hope all is good with you
Yes that is correct the Vyalev Nurse or your Neurologist are the only people that can adjust the dose it is
Base Low High extra doze they are all locked only the above can open the lock
And here in Ireland 🇮🇪 we only use base day time Low
going to bed and High if doing any strenuous work
only on for awhile and back to bace the extra dose was never mentioned but you can see it on the pump that is us here in Ireland 🇮🇪 now I know nothing about the way they use it in America 🇺🇸 and
do you know that you can take your own Carbidopa/Levopoda as well here in Ireland that is what
people are doing whether they were right now that I don't know.

Because I was Delighted going on the pump but I
was on it about 4months
that's all I lasted I knew where I stood with the Tablets form
more so than the pump so I went back to the tablets
Now I would not knock it
Because I say to everyone if they are offered it give it a go
If it does not suit you then you have a choice It is definitely worth a go
The Medication in the pump is liquid Carbidopa/Levopoda they use another name but it is the same thing
So I say if you are offered it
give it a go It might be great for you you won't know until you try
The medication for Vyalev Pump is Foscarbidopa/Foslevodopa
If you want to know more let me know
All the best

Vyalev dosages are set by MDS/Neurologist in office for each patient as to their specific level of need. And adjusted as needed at each dr visit.
