MSA caused by cousin to Mad Cow Disease. MSA resembles and behaves like Parkinson's. Might there be clues here to lead us to a cure for either of these diseases?

Interesting read. Im British in order to obtain my visa to OZ I had to be tested for Mad Cow disease and tested negative. That was 8 years before my PD diagnosis.I wonder if the difficulty with PD is that it is multifaceted.well thats what I feel. The one common denometer in all of our comments on this site that I have observed is that all lobes of the brain are affected by PD. Hoping they do have vacination.

My Father also had PD...he had treatments to his brain earlier in life. I also had treatments to my brain for removal of a tumor growing in the optic nerve, and later developed PD. They may be related!? I also had a friend growing up(three houses away), who developed MS, she has similar symptoms to me, but she can't walk at all!! Just some thoughts...

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. Lewy Body is a progressive dementia disease. Not something any of us want to have. Sterling

I really hope this site has some usefull benchmarking tools to use all the infornation on here. The key is with the sufferes and their carers observations. This is not just a physical disease its an emotional one too. Researchers need to listen or they are missing the piece that has falken down the side of the sofa.😣
