Our long term health care is excellent and includes home support. I am my wife's sole care giver, but I may need a hip replacement in the near future. I am also concerned that if Parkinson's progresses more we may need to leave our home, in order to get additonal support. Do we get a letter from our Neurologist or what is needed to invoke long term health care?
The company that you have your long term policy with can better answer those questions. Your doctors will be able to advise and discuss with you the specific types of care that you need. Other than the policy that you already have, long term care will depend on your needs and the needs of your wife...you are actually in the situation when it happens!!!

The company you have the long term health care with should be able to let you know what you need to invoke that care. I would contact them.
How do you afford long term care for a patient with PD when you can no longer care for them at home?
