Decades ago I was diagnosed with Rehm sleep disorder which caused me to act out my dreams, which frequently appeared hostel. I was prescribed clonazepam which has been extremely helpful.
If this would help your mother to reduce her symptoms to be more "acceptable" to a nursing facilitiy. I wish you luck.
PS The same nuerologist that diagnosed the sleep discorder, also diagnosed the PD. He said the Rehm sleep disorder is often a precursor to PD.
I am so sorry to hear what you are facing with your Mom. Although I am the one with PD and my family might very well be faced with your same circumstance someday, I have no answers, but I can offer to pray that you will find a place that is perfect for your Mom and will give you peace of mind. In the meantime, I would suggest you contact the The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The Parkinsons Foundation, The Pan Foundation, for government financial assistance and help finding a place for your Mom. That’s what these organizations are for....to help those with Parkinsons as well as their caregivers. Hope this helps. Blessings to you and keep us up to date on how this turns out. Vicki
