Does anyone else fall frequently?
I fall at least once a day. I also drool a lot. In addition I have difficulty swallowing and have developed a very weak voice.
I was losing my voice and asked to see a speech therapist. She gave me exercises to do and I got my voice back. When it starts to go again I do my exercisers and get it back
If it wasn't for my partner who helps me 24/7 i would be falling backwards all day i had a hip replacement a year ago after a fall in the bathroom. drooling, cant sms or talk on the phone as people can't hear me, battle to get in and out of bed, need assistance , feeling dizzy, the list goes on and on, this is parkinson's
for you. no one wants to do a knee replacement because of my falling problem i suppose, at 73 it may be cutting it fine to go for dbs but i'm thankful that i can still drive although people are surprised when i tell them this and i don't have dementia yet, i don't think. two good reasons why i refuse to be moved into some frail care away from my loved ones ...yet !!! take one day at a time and GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Since I have been rediagnosed with MSA I have stopped taking my Parkinsons medication; however, I still fall backwards about once a week which continues to take me by surprise. My balance is not good but my head is better.
also get your blood pressure and blood sugar tested they can also cause falls from lack of energy and light-headedness. I fall about once a week. hope this is helpful have a great weekend Andy
Yes I am facing falls and my voice is very weak. You just have to take it one day at a time. My tremors make it very hard to type.
