I first saw my regular dentist then he referred me to a specialist. I thought he was an endodontist. Your regular dentist should refer you to a specialist who can do biopsies!
Good Luck
Peggy
Well that’s interesting. What kind of dentist did you go to? I’d be interested in that myself. Thanks.
Hi!
I have had a similar problem with burning mouth. If anything is spicey I can't eat it. I was sent to a specialist dentist who did a biopsy on my mouth tissue. It came back showing a fungal infection. He prescribed a anti-fungal cream. It takes care of it but comes & goes.
With avoidance of spicey food items, I monitor myself. When I get a flare I add the anti-fungal
cream to my mouth.
Take Care,
Peggy
Oh you poor dear! I had burning mouth for at least 6 months! My family Dr and Dentist tried everything. Finally a Dr did a blood tezt. He found out that my Folic Acid was very low. Which is a sign of Parkinson's and anemia. And so the search began. He started me on 1mg of Folic Acid a day. And by the next day i felt 50% better. Everyday it has gotten better. I hope that this is helpful. Good luck!
Thank you!
