I take C/L with endcapone (spelling. It is the brand Stelevo. I take the generic. It has worked wonders for me and so far no side effects.
Hope you find something that works for you . We Parkies are all so different!! Makes it hard.
Have a good day😀☺️
Hi Rosemary, my husband has been using Rytary for about 2 - 3 years and it has worked wonders, no nausea however in the afternoon he does get sleepy when he is not active. He says his 3rd dosage causes him to feel horrible. He recently had DBS surgery and hopes in the future he will decrease his PD meds. But overall he is happy with it. He has tried several other meds and they did not work for him.
How encouraging for PT to tell you your balance is good! I agree with, if it ain't broke don't fix it! I take Carbadopa-Levadopa and Neuplazid. They seem to work for me.
@ConnieHarold Thank you for your response. I Don't know why but it sure messed with me. I thought I was shaking to pieces waking up like that , I'm still in shock. It scared me so bad I going to get my panic button next week I got it authorized today, got a lawyer for my will and my living will everything will be done by next week. I tell you that I have never got any of this even started and I'm a social worker too that whats my career was. I did this for others. Crazy! I got my wake up call. Ha my P.T. encouraged me today by telling me that he could not believe how good my balance was or is. The old pills are working just fine, if it ain't broke don't fix it!! Hugs and keep on keeping on. 🤣 Rosie
My husband tried Extended Release Carbidopa/Levadopa (same as Rytary). It worked well for his symptoms but made his muscles hurt, so he had to go back to the original prescription.
