I'm the pwp, and my husband always goes with me to appts. He sees me differently than I see myself. So if I miss something that's going on, he can mention it to the Dr.
Write it down, if you need to. He pays attention to my behavior and what looks like it has changed..
God bless you for being the care partner.

Write things down so you don’t forget. One other thing to add to Dale’s list; does he talk or thrash around in his sleep, sometimes crying out.

Teresa, if you have to go by yourself, take notes whenever you notice something. I put everything in a notepad in my phone As Soon As I think of it! I know I'll forget it, if I don't. Keep a running list. I hope that helps.

Has he already been diagnosed?

Make sure you convey everything that is going on with your husband. Whether you think it’s related or not. A lot of people have symptoms that they attribute to other things, and therefore don’t mention them. Only to find out much later it is a Parkinson’s symptom and you’ve been treating incorrectly.

Parkinson’s can affect any part of the body, so everything you have could be related.

Some of the things you might not think of are: Constipation, vision changes, stiffness, Mood changes, internal tremors, pain anywhere in the body, leg cramps, toe cramps, finger cramps, abdominal cramps, dizziness, falls, brain fog, Various body movements, Speech problems, inability to form words, stuttering, anxiety, irrational fears, depression, apathy, excessive sleeping, lack of motivation, and all the others I couldn’t think of.
