If I stay in a store too long my legs feel weak and I walk like I am drunk and feel like they are going to give out. It will be difficult to get back to our car. My Neurologist told me that was not caused by Parkinsons and says it sounds like spinal stenosis and ordered a MRI. This has happened from the beginning of my diagnosis in 2018. I think itโs the Parkinsons. Does anyone else have the same difficulty with your legs? Anyone have these same issues or not. I appreciate your feedback. Anyโฆ read more

I have definitely had this problem since even BEFORE being diagnosed with PD. Since xrays and MRI'S have never revealed a reason for leg/hip pain (until just very recently when osteoarthritis has been seen in hip)--- because of that, I've always assumed leg weakness and/or pain was my PD.
You always manage to make me laugh; you get that right! Even today when I feel like Iโve been dragged down the road by a Peter Built youโve made me laugh.
Hi Carol, I just saw your question about leg weakness while in the grocery store. I surely do experience the same thing...whether it's in the store, at my grandkids' ball games, working in or out of the house. My muscles just stiffen and become weak enough that it's hard to walk. I've begun to take my walker to the games so that I can use it to get back to the car. I'm planning to get a cane and hope it will be a big help. I was looking back at posts from May and there you were! I've gotten away from posting for the past couple of months and it was wonderful to see your encouraging words on here again. Have been going thru a rough patch right now and getting back here is a very good thing. I've been getting to the physical therapy gym just about every day, but also have bi-polar disorder and right now it's causing some challenges along with the parkinson's. Seeing your posts again was really encouraging and I thank God for you. I hope your neurologist reaches a conclusion and solution for you. Will keep you in my prayers. Arlene
