I have been bombarded with ads for all kinds of Parkinson’s treatments lately. Have you?Anybody try any of these Parkinson’s solutions? If so, what were your outcomes?
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - That light therapy gets rid of Seasonal Affective Disorder which is a type of depression that happens when there are less daylight hours in the winter especially in places farther north. It does not need any special equipment other than full-spectrum light bulbs. It doesn't make sense that it would have any effect on PD - more snake oil
I get all kind of ads about Parkinson’s, but they are wide ranging. I get all kinds of info and then if I look into a lot promote different meds and treatments. My feelings are I have a medical team that I trust and I am sticking with my team.
I get all kinds of cr… like that. Take this take that, walk fast, you’ll be free of pd. So many of us will grab at many things to help.
I get tons of wacky stuff sent to me. But really today it’s all about the fact checking and going to reputable sources. I like the mayo clinic and medical schools like Yale or Oxford.
There is a ton of reputable research being done right now. But there’s also so much garbage on the Internet. Especially social media. Just be careful out there and fact check everything. Run it by your doctor.
