Wikipedia says the difference is that Alzheimers starts with dementia while Parkinson's starts with physical issues, but then there's Lewy Bodies Dementia which is a Parkinsonism that starts with dementia. The causes are different. Many of the symptoms are the same. Hallucinations and delusions are PD.

It is possible to have more than one kind of dementia at the same time.
